Brinley Partners, LP (“Brinley”), an alternative asset manager focused on private credit, today announced that Rex Chung has joined the firm as a Partner.
Mr. Chung will be responsible for the firm’s investor relations and capital formation activities. He brings with him three decades of experience, most recently as the Head of Capital Formation at Hunter Point Capital, a firm founded by Bennett Goodman and Avi Kalichstein to acquire stakes in private fund managers. Rex was one of the first members of the Hunter Point team and was instrumental in building the firm from launch to closing of their inaugural $3.3 billion fund. Prior to joining Hunter Point, Rex headed both the Client & Partner Group and the Capital Markets team in Asia at KKR & Co, Inc., where he helped raise billions of dollars from some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated investors. He also previously ran business development at EIG Global Energy Asia. Before that, he spent 16 years at S.G. Warburg & Co. (later UBS) across senior positions in London, New York and Hong Kong.
